Your cells are working constantly to create homeostasis (balance) in your body.  Throughout our lives many nutrients that are needed for homeostasis to occur are critically lacking in our food sources.  When we couple this lack of nutrients with the many thousands of toxins we encounter in our life on a daily basis, the end result is ultimately disease.  In Matthew 24:7,  Jesus said there would be many diseases in the time approaching his return, however he knew this day was coming.  Knowing this, we should be at peace even in the midst of a health crisis, that the end result will be to find the restored balance in the body that gives us fullness of life.

Through the process of time that it takes to restore our body to health our first obstacle to getting well lies within our beliefs.  Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Every one of us knows that when we get a cut it will eventually heal, but where do we find the hope for healing in our own body when disease comes knocking on our door?  Intestinal cells and cells within the mucous membranes of the throat, sinus and lungs can heal within hours, days up to weeks, and even our bones completely restore the cells within 7 years.  Nerve cells can regenerate, and research is providing evidence that proves our God is a healer and he designed us to heal when we seek him for wisdom regarding the body he created for us.

For years many of us have lived with reckless abandoned with regard to our health and not followed the simple health principles of getting adequate water, air, rest, food, supplements and exercise.  A new born baby requires 9 months of building for new life to be produced.  Similarly, the average adult from age 30 – 50 will require 9 months to a year of cellular rebuilding and tissue repair.  It is estimated that for every 10 years of a poor lifestyle, we require one year for the tissue to be brought into balance.  So, at 24 years of age when I was diagnosed with an auto immune disorder, I required 2 1/2 years of aggressive healthy living to allow for restoration.

It is during the retracing time back to health that we recommend functional testing to determine the specific body chemistry needs, so that we can target the tissue deficiencies with greater effectiveness. When utilizing recommended professional nutritional supplementation and lifestyle changes for tissue repair, the time back to health can be quickened.  Many cells such as intestinal mucous cells can repair quickly in as little as 3 weeks, however, deeper cellular tissues such as joint, bone and ligaments have a much longer regeneration time of months and even years.
